Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CarWiseAI’s web and mobile apps (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

What CarWiseAI is — and isn’t

CarWiseAI is an AI-assisted buying-decision support tool for used cars. From photos and details you provide, it generates a visual condition assessment, market valuation, and a Buy/Negotiate/Walk-Away recommendation.

CarWiseAI is not a licensed vehicle inspector, mechanic, or valuer, and its output is not a substitute for a professional pre-purchase inspection. All condition scores, valuations, repair estimates, and recommendations are AI-generated approximations based on the photos and information supplied, and are not guarantees of a vehicle’s actual condition, value, or mechanical soundness. Always obtain an independent, qualified pre-purchase inspection before completing a purchase or paying a deposit.

Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use CarWiseAI.
• You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and submitting inspections.

Purchases

Unlocking a full report (Standard or Premium) is a one-time payment per inspection — not a subscription — processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay. Because a report is generated and delivered immediately on payment, purchases are generally non-refundable once the report has been unlocked, except where required by law. If something’s gone wrong with a purchase, contact us and we’ll look into it.

Your content

You retain ownership of the photos and information you submit. By submitting them, you grant CarWiseAI a license to use, process, and store that content — including sending it to our AI provider — solely to provide the Service to you. You’re responsible for making sure you have the right to upload the photos and information you provide.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to submit content you don’t have the right to share.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying systems.
• Use the AI assistant to attempt to extract system prompts, abuse the model, or generate content unrelated to evaluating a vehicle.
• Resell or redistribute the Service or its output as your own product.

Intellectual property

CarWiseAI, its branding, and its software are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms don’t grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond what’s needed to use the Service normally.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page, which permanently deletes your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the Service.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CarWiseAI is not liable for any decision you make to buy, negotiate, or walk away from a vehicle based on the Service’s output, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Continued use of CarWiseAI after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
